The laboratory at the Rose Packing factory is one of the most advanced in the industry, performing thousands of monthly food quality tests. All of our microbiological testing programs are backed by our statistical control measures to ensure quality control.
From the time product or ingredients are received, through all processes and final packaging thousands of tests are performed on products, ingredients and the environment to assure everything is both safe and adheres to the highest quality standards.
Our USDA approved Chemistry Department routinely performs general proximate analysis, analytical chemistry and allergen testing to assure that all products meet required parameters. Our team also works closely with our Research and Development Team as new products are developed, performing the appropriate testing and calculations needed to determine the nutritional content.
Our lab processes over 5,000 in-house tests each month to ensure moisture, fat, salt, and protein content. Our HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and sanitation programs require over 16,000 in-house microbiological tests each month before our products are released to our customers.
A wide array of microbiological environmental tests are performed daily to supplement sanitation activities throughout the entire facility. In addition, final product microbiological testing is conducted to ensure customer specifications are met and safe, wholesome product has been produced.
To assure the accuracy of testing data our team follows official AOAC methods using the latest laboratory technology to identify the risk factors, improve quality and achieve compliance with regulations.
The strengths of our on site lab include the rapid sample results turnaround and the relevant diagnostics enabled by in house staff who can react to data in real time as it is generated.
