Rose Recipe Archive

Spinach, Bacon, and Apple Salad

5 slices Rose Canadian Bacon (cut into strips)
1/2 cup nuts (i.e. cashews, almonds)
1 Granny Smith apple, cored & sliced
8 cups spinach, rinsed, stemmed, torn (can mix Romaine lettuce with spinach)

Dressing:
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 tbls. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
Salt & pepper to taste

In lidded jar, combine all dressing ingredients. Shake well and refrigerate. In large salad bowl, combine spinach with bacon, nuts, and apple. Toss with dressing.
